Ripple Effects is a five-issue comic book series which explores life as a superhero with an invisible disability and features an "Unseen Ripples" essay series written by individuals with invisible disabilities who relate Ripple Effects' events to their own lived experience. Series creator/writer/colorist Jordan Hart and cover artist Justin C. Harder (CLAUS Studios) will be on hand at the Fanbase Press booth (Table O-03) throughout the week to sign copies of the SDCC exclusive!
Fanbase Press is thrilled to announce that its alternate history series, Nuclear Power, has been named as a finalist for the 2022 International Latino Book Awards (via Empowering Latino Futures) in the Graphic Novel category. The International Latino Book Awards aim to recognize greatness in literature, honoring authors, translators, and illustrators for books written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. The ceremony for the 24nd annual International Latino Book Awards will take place virtually on August 19-20, 2022. At the ceremony, winners will be named for first and second place, as well as an honorable mention.

This marks the second Eisner Award nomination for the comic book publisher and geek culture website, with the first nomination announced in 2018 for the bilingual comic book series, Quince.

Taking place on Friday, March 25, and Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Modesto Junior College's West Campus in Modesto, CA, the event is the Central Valley’s celebration of Latinx creators and friends. This FREE comics convention features cartoonists, writers, artists, animators, storyboard artists, and more. Even better, it’s an ALL-AGES, FAMILY FRIENDLY event open to the community!
